    Ball joints

The gt500 arms had the same crappy ball joints that failed. They were all upgraded sometime around 09. The upgrade was making them a tiny bit larger; still a crappy part. Use moog or steeda; if you're worried about them coming out just throw a weld on there.

Shopping for a Shelby GT500- what to look for ?

Lots of clutch, pressure plate problems in those years. Run an oasis report before buying. You would be better off finding the clutch had already been replaced. That being said, go aftermarket if it goes out on your dime. I would also look for a 3:55 Orr steeped gear; the 3:31's made the clutch...

    The Squeaky Wheel

Did you use anti-squeal on the back of the pads? If not, that should be job one. Also check the anti rattle clips if the rear pads have them.

    Slightly Rough Idle

My guess would be the coils; the factory units have proven themselves to be better than aftermatket units.

    1st post, 1st mustang, 1st supercharger :) Now what? Looking for 430rwhp

Your plans are right on with your goals. The other options you have are a monster heat exchanger like Afco or long tube headers with hi Flo cats.

20 inch Wheel and Tire Package for 2006 Mustang GT

You will want an adjustable panhard bar to center the rear end. It is off from the factory and lowering with wider wheels could cause clearance issues. Lowering 1.5 inches is no problem; beyond that I'm not sure.

Creating flames from the tail pipe

Not safe on modern cars but basically you have spark plugs in the tailpipe wired to a coil and a switch. When you interrupt the stock ignition and mash the gas, you flood the exhaust with fuel, flip the coil to the plugs in the exhaust, and it ignites. The problem is it can blow your mufflers...

Why is the under body of new Mustangs all rusted?

Rust is not a protective barrier and your floorpans will eventually rust out and need replacing unless you treat them.Eastwood makes some great products for this. I k ow you probably won't have the car when it happens, but somebody 20 yrs. from now will appreciate it.

Digital Torque Wrench - Member Special

Welcome to Stangnet, but I and most people I know will only buy USA made products from now on unless there is no other option.

Boss intake dyno numbers and discussion

Well, you will lose power over 70% of your power band to gain in the last 30%. Seems to me nobody should be buying this intake unless your keeping your revs above 5,000 r.p.m. all the time. Maybe a dedicated drag racer would benefit, but it's a loser for a street car.

Who is using an oil catch can?

You can still make your own for $20 if that's what u want. Oil will not only gum up the throttle body, intake,etc..., but it also lowers your octane...not good if your running an aftermarket tune.

    2011 Mustang GT Revs

It's been that way since Ford went to drive by wire but is easily fixed in a tune. I think they tuned it that way so grandmas could shift smoother. Same thing for having to press the gas pedal b4 anything happens:less chance of stalling the car on takeoff with a stick. Again, a good tune will...

    Rear window louvers

Plastic can warp from shipping, sun,etc... making it impossible to keep them om, let alone looking good. If your car is garaged, they might hold up o.k.

    Rear window louvers

The difference in the price is those have to be removed to clean the glass whereas MRT louvers are hinged and come with a prop rod. I have also read that the astra Hammonds are not well packed or painted and are often missing hardware, but you saved a couple hundred unless you have to pay return...

any problems with the new 5.0s?

Manuals have several issues such as clutch sticking, bolts backing out, fried clutches but since you want an automatic, some engines have a ticking problem. This pales in comparison to the biggest problem: no light in the glovebox:)

Anyone supercharged with the Hot Rod cam???

You would make the same or better power with a little less boost. The dyno sheets I've seen showed a 40 h.p. gain over stock on a F.I. setup.

    Old member feels new...shifter question

Shift stops are not needed, they are built into these trannys. MGW has more adjustability for thro and height and is probably the most quiet out there.
