Thanks, what springs would you recommend ? I don't want to use new stock springs; who makes stock length springs that are stronger and would be compatible with these cams ?

That's what I thought and could see the difference in the valves to. So that means, that one cannot swap in FR500 cams, springs, and rockers in without pulling the heads and changing valves. Thanks for the info.

There are only a few cams for 1999-2001 that will upgrade safely without valve spring upgrades. Those few do not make much HP, TQ; they are more steet replacements (like the SHM stage 1's I have). They add a few (maybe 10) HP at high RPM's I'm sure; but sound completely stock. There are a few...

Yes, lots have done it. It works fine, but is time consuming; I think even the wriring harness, computer, needs to be replaced. Check under 4.6 Forums; I know several did it back in 2002 and 2003. **After thought - I forgot we lost our history.

Some 99's like mine also had Teksids. I think they stop[ped at serial number SVT 3100/3200 Conv - Coup.

I use the Kenny Brown; it is good. But is a PITA to get on and off for engine work, because it mounts under the CC plates and then to the firewall. It eliminates the hard drilling in the tower; but adds some inflexibility. I'd look elsewhere.

CR=9.85:1 and engine is almost exactly the same performance as 99 with recall improvements.
