Dunno if this is the right forum, but Im looking for an 89-93 coupe in black that has a blown motor or no motor at all. Im having an extremely tough time finding one, so i was thinking about just getting another one and painting it. how difficult is this and how much am i looking at spending?

thats exactly right. all the power goes somewhere. its better for 90% of it to go to forward motion and naturally pull the wheels off the ground then 65% go to forward motion and the rest hook and pull the wheels

inexpensive cooling upgrades? 50/50 combo or water wetter :nice: but since your radiator is FUBAR, take a trip to auto zone and get their 3 core radiator. it was somewhere around $100 i think and its WAAAY better then stock. Its still copper, but it gets the job done, especially on a street car.

why do you HAVE to do a whole new exhaust? are they rusted through or bent all to hell? if you dont absoloutely have to replace it, i'd do it a step at a time. not trying to be stereotypical, but i was in your shoes a couple years ago. When I was in HS with my first mustang, i wanted a "wow"...

yeah what he said. but you HAVE to do it by hand with your finger in the plug hole. dont just move the balancer to 0 because it passes it twice on each cylinder. so if you put it to 0 without feeling for the compression, you have a 50/50 chance of being either at TDC or 180 out :notnice:

If they are going on your '92, i wouldnt skimp on them. If you do get BBK, get them either ceramic coated inside and out or just get Bassani. You get what you pay for

an H pipe is a good investment. All 5.0's as far as i know have Hpipes. I know for sure all fuel injected ones did. if its stock, it will have 4 catalyitc converters on it. They will be a little smaller then normal cats. 2 will be near the H and the other 2 will be up by the collectors closer to...

thanks for the advice. I really want this to be a well mannered street car. I thought that a larger intake would make the car want to be in the higher RPMs. I dont know if the TW would be the best choice either.

thats why I picked the 351 block over the 302. I've heard that the 351 block is even stronger then the B50 block. I was thinking a 351 with some TW heads, Lightning intake (maybe a performer 5.8), single t76, 3.27's and a 3550. the weight addition of a 351 block over the 302 isnt enough to...
