Dynoing 3 Cars Next Week, Who Wants To Win Some Money

Some suspension work has been done on all 3 cars over the Winter, and all 3 cars run better ETs than the launches illustrate. We're only debating dyno numbers here. Numbers will most likely be corrected for weather/DA conditions. Edit: Times in sig are old.

Help, unknown Knock driving me crazy.

I had a similar knocking noise coming from my engine. It was only heard at low RPM and was quiet at idle. I thought is was the crank pulley so I replaced it with an SFI damper...no change. Hopefully it'll be something minor for you, but in my case I ended up being greeted by the unmistakable...

    Looking to go Forged internals

Check the classifieds here and on other sites. I picked up a Kellogg crank and a set of rods for my build off of the Corral.

Has anyone here switched out their shocks/struts before?

Pick up an electric impact wrench. Not as powerful as air tools, but it can do what you need it to do for this job.

Who here bought their car new?

Bought new in June '02. Only has 18K and change on the odo...half of which came in quarter mile increments.

Heads, cams, gear, and bolt on's what would it run ave

Anywhere from mid 11s to mid 14s depending on driver and altitude. I'm hoping for somewhere around the high to mid 11 second range.

O/R X Pipe and Gas Mileage??

Calm down. :) 4.10 gears will put a 4.6 in a more usable power band, and work better for city driving than the stock 3.27s. Secondly, the stock tune on your car can be pig rich from the factory, which can reduce gas mileage. Maybe he has a tune...maybe his factory tune is different from yours...

    when degreeing cams

You don't have to set the engine to TDC before tearing it down, but if you do, it can make things a little easier on re-assembly. Line it up, mark the chains clearly and you'll know exactly where things go.

O/R X Pipe and Gas Mileage??

The rear o2s throwing an SES light won't cause any noticible drop in gas mileage. I have the MILs if you want them.

Help with o/r x install please??

What part of MD are you in? I think I have my old mil eliminators laying around somewhere. They're the splice in kind.

What do you think about the G35?

    Just a rebadged G35...nothing more.

What do you think about the G35?

I have an '06 G35 coupe, and it is an excellent car. Fit and finish are great, handling is incredible, and the interior is one of the nicest I've ever been in...however, I'd never give up my Mustang for it. The G35 is powerful, but not that powerful, and as someone stated before, bolt-on mods...

    Professional Products Tb&Plenum

There are no instructions or flow sheets that come with the plenum. The install is basic so you won't really need instructions anyway. The fit of the plenum is great but the rough finish on the inside could use some work. I paired mine up with a 75mm Accufab TB because of personal preference.

    Straight line acceleration Q's.

If you want to keep your lowering springs and better your 60ft. times, it's as simple as getting better at driving on your setup. Sticky tires, LCAs, and adjustable struts will help this as well, but they can't do anything unless you know how to get the car off the line.

    Maximum Motorsports McLeod Clutches

I'm currently running a McLeod clutch. It holds power very well and grabs nicely with minimal change in the overall pedal feel.

    PRO3 lower control arms...

I never did any type of before and after comparison on the LCAs, so I couldn't tell you whether they actually improved my short times. They did help with the slight wheel hop I was getting with the stock LCAs. They also have a more solid feel over the stockers. The rear in my car was upgraded...

    PRO3 lower control arms...

I have the street/race LCAs. Been running them for 2 years with no problems. They're a great part for the money.

we need to get this section going

I'm not exactly sure what time. I was told it was Friday nights, so I'm thinking around 7 or 8. It's actually right off of Rt. 202 near the Jasper's/Ruby Tuesday's. There's also another show that goes on in Bowie in the Bowie Town Center parking lot, but I don't know any details on that one.

There is a car show in Landover every Friday if anyone is interested in that.
