Complete PS SYstem with rebuilt CONTROL VALVE 170.00 shipped

Rod, I just tried calling but your mailbox is full. I think it should work with a 69 though since most fo the mustang sites i have seen group the 69 in the 67-70 bracket for most of the steering parts. PS pump and bracket is from a 289 and I have the bolts for the engine as well. MV: still...

Complete PS SYstem with rebuilt CONTROL VALVE 170.00 shipped

This is off of my 1968 coupe with 289. I decided to rebuild the control valve, changed the hoses, etc...But then I opted for manual steering. I like the feel more than when I has PS. I have everything you need from the power cylander adapter to all 4 hoses that run from the control valve to...

    Power to Manual Steering Conversion...

basically you just remove all of the PS components. the adapter takes the place of the power valve. Your alternator will we running off of one belt. The best way is to buy a manual pitman arm, manual centerlink, and a manual roller idler arm from OT. You would probably want to get the...

    How to change spring perches?

yup, basically it helps to do the LCA, UCA, Shelby drop, Spring replacement, all in one shot. But replacing the spring perches will require: 1. Removal of shocks and springs 2. That spring shock tower cover on both sides 3. and the tires then you just unbolt the perches and reinstall the...

    want something done in carbon?

hoods are pretty much the larger of what we all look for. there aren't many good fitting fiberglass hoods and almost NO CF hood options for us classic stang owners. Seriously, if you're spending 400 on a FG hood, that thing better fit. other options are gauge clusters, shift knobs, interior...

    Hot Squealing 3G alternator conversion

yes, 3G is new, running the double V groove belt as well. Are the HiPo pulleys larger in diameter so it has more surface area for the belt to grip and spins slower?

    Hot Squealing 3G alternator conversion

well, i had one, but the squealing was unbearable. pops said back in the day, PS wasn't even used, a dual V-belt was for added safety and in my case, might help in keeping the V-belt from slipping....which it does since it only squeals a little when I rev the engine. I ran a seperate line to...

    Hot Squealing 3G alternator conversion

1968 coupe, 289, running 3G 95 amp alt from RJM Injection.com....dual V belts. i have some high pitched sqealing on mid rpms and alternator is really hot to the touch after about 20 minutes with the engine at idle. wires are hooked up correctly, 175 mamp fuse and harness connections are...

    manual steering adapter, 67-70

the steering adapter isn't too bad...If you need to get a new steering box, I would probbaly just change otu the parts for the true manual steering. So far, the adpater is working fine, 1968 coupe with FR 16:1 steering box and OT roller idler arm. Steering is a little more effort but road...

    At a loss!

not a pro at engine stuff, but thought I might chime in...on some cams I have read that some people need a vacuum reservoir too keep up with the vacuum needs of the engine. Just a thought, I;m sure more knowledgeable stangers will post.

    filling up sux

yup, filling my 68 is kinda of an art form. push the bastard in, get the right angle, and open the valve up halfway....when she fills, autostop kicks in and sometimes i can get it without spilling any gas.

    grinding starter?

had a rebuilt starter for a year, grinding noises. Thought maybe the battery wasn't pulling enough "umph" to start. I think my noid on the starter wasn't fully engaging the gear. changed the starter, no problems.
