99-04 gt (auto) 1/4 mile times.

Congrats!!!! :nice: The only obvious mod without a CARB # is the exhaust. We'll probably be ticketed for that.

99-04 gt (auto) 1/4 mile times.

Yeah, it's me. :D I was just checking in for a minute. We're in the middle of a move to Sacramento and from what I hear they don't sell 93 out there. I was looking at the octane boost threads. :nonono: How ya doing?

ET and mods in sig. We've since added pulleys but haven't made it out to the track yet. :)

4.10 Auto Guys, have a Question

Sorry, I was trying to paraphrase what my husband had told me since I wasn't there during the tune. He said that Dave (the tuner) adjusted the points at where the converter would lock up and he also made each gear last longer by adjusting the shift points.

4.10 Auto Guys, have a Question

It still locks in 3rd and 4th gear, but Dave from Kauffmans changed the lockup points so it doesn't shift as quick. Sorry I don't know the exact numbers since Dave said it's all driver preference. I guess he'd change the points, then my husband and him would test drive it to see if it felt ok...

    Only one tire spins ??

You can get away with the one bottle that comes with the kit if you carefully pour it in the gear oil bottle after you're done soaking the frictions. Then it all goes in at once.

    Best CATTED midpipe for money

:) I just read the Bassani reviews and it seems everyone's main complaint is the price, not quality. There were only 11 reviews though.

    Best CATTED midpipe for money

I think it sounds pretty good but it hasn't sounded the same since the torque converter was installed. Not aggressive enough. Sean (my husband) says it's all in my head though. I think if I were getting new exhaust I'd go with SLP. Ryan- I haven't paid too much attention to the Mac...

    Best CATTED midpipe for money

Hey Ryan! I have the MRT H-pipe and I'm satisfied with it. I just checked their site though and the description said it's for 99 and up. Maybe email them real quick to see what they say. :)

    2000-2002 GT advice

I'm not trying to be bitchy, but unless he's going to be taking it to the track or wants to run drag radials constantly, buying a torque converter is a waste of about $700. I saw much more of an improvement with my gears and a good tune, both around town and at the track. After we installed my...

What does your screen name mean?

Not much. I've been pretty busy with the kids. I haven't been able to do much with my car since I'm really pregnant now. My husband installed a plenum on my car and ran a new best at the track on Friday. I can't wait until the fall when I can take it to the track myself though. Have...

    MD,DC,VA and others

:nonono: I'm Stacy. I notice all mustangs and most other cars I'd consider competition. I also wave to other stangs, but rarely get a wave back. I used to live in Glen Burnie, but we moved to Newport News, VA last year. I still make it up to Capitol once in a while.

    Kauffman Motorspors?

I think I paid around $650 for the gear install and computer flash. I don't know what a good price would be too check yours out. The best advice I can give is to call the shop and speak with Dave Guy about it or email them from their website. Also, if you still want more opinions you could try...

    Kauffman Motorspors?

I spent several hours in their shop on a dyno day and they were a great bunch, even though the rest of our group didn't show up. Very friendly and they really know a lot about mustangs. I didn't hesitate to drive the 2 hours back to their shop to have my gears installed and my ECU flashed. Their...

Gotta Buy Drag Radials For The Track....

Are you planning on running the drag radials all the time or just at the track? I think the general concensus is that Nittos last longer than BFGs on the street, but BFGs hook better at the track. I use the BFGs mounted on a set of Weld Prostars for track time only. I just switch my tires out...
