i had a 98 GT and was in your exact situation. But i found a way to get into the 13s real easily. I sold it and bought a 97 cobra. I was real pissed with my 98 dumping all sorts of cash into it and getting nowhere. I bought my 98 for 10500 and sold it for 9700 then bought my 40 k miles cobra for 12.

i think to top off the cobra styling/badges he shouldve had the cobra on the back "gas cap" looking thing. For now it says GT and i know svt wouldnt let that one by with such an easy way to throw the styling back to the classic stangs.

the mils are already on. I guess im just wondering if the previous owner got a CEL does it stay in memory? I was thinking i should disconnect it cuase of this just to clear any old entries in the memory.

how much should i expect to pay for a used motor and tranny say with around 10-15k miles on it from a company. Any good companies i should know about? I know about vtengines and stuff but to my knowledge they build their own, im bent on getting this 03 cobra motor.

I had rubbing on mine. I have a 98GT. I had to turn the quad shock around so that the fat part of the quad shock (aka axle dampener) was in the center of the wheel. Then i also had to use spacers from pep boys which only cost 10 bucks for a pair. But all this works great now. It fit with stock...
