    Stock 93 Radio Question

It's just my work car. Lots of stone dependable miles on it ( 260,000 ). I've got other cars with the good stuff, But I still would just like a radio in it that works.

    Stock 93 Radio Question

Still Looking Haven't found one yet! Does that radio have that small square plug that goes to the under seat amp? I could put something else in there if I really wanted to spend the money, but it's just my work car. I'm looking for a cheap plug & play solution and not really looking to upgrade...

    Stock 93 Radio Question

I've got a stock radio in my '93 worker Mule and it crapped out. Went to the junkyard and found lots of radios that look just like it, but the plugs on the back are wrong. Mine has one large plug like the others but also has a small square plug on a blue cable that goes to what I guess is an amp...

    Year and Mileage

High mileage stocker 262,000 on the '93 5spd.! :D All stock. Bought it for my work car and it's really paid for itself in dependable service to me too. 2 water pumps, 1 alternator, 1 starter, 3 clutches, mostly for crappy throwout bearings because the clutches were OK,(3 timing belts & 1...

    splines ?

I think they are 28. I'm not for sure but I think the 7.5 and 8.8 axles are interchangable after about '87. There was another axle that was on the early 80's 4 speed & autos that was tiny, and I don't think anything would interchange on those with anything else.

    93 Stocker won't Idle

I"ve had the Batt. disconnected since Sunday and decided to put on a fresh Pos. cable since it was looking a little old at the Battery post. Not really ugly, just a little grey and thin. Put a new cable on and reset the throttle stop back to normal and fired it up to see if it would at least run...

    93 Stocker won't Idle

Yep! All new: Idle air control, DIS module, Throttle position sensor, Fuel pressure regulator, In-hose Temperature sensor. EGR and Throttle body nice and clean too. The relay box has been fixed up with new relays. The Oxygen sensor is only a little over a year old. Maybe it wants a paint job...

    93 Stocker won't Idle

Checked and found no vacuum leaks. With the car running on the throttle @ about 2000 RPM, I unplugged the throttle position sensor and there was no change. So I also unplugged the idle air bypass (which probably didn't matter anyway at that idle speed) and still no change. Shouldn't that kill...

    93 Stocker won't Idle

My old '93 suddenly won't idle. It's not hot rodded at all, just my work mule and has been a real good one for 250,000 miles. It still gets good mileage and runs great too, it just quit idling. I can keep it running if I keep my foot on it but it will shake and die if I let it go below 1000 rpm...

    how reliable is the 2.3?

High Miles and all Smiles 250,000 and still doesn't burn any oil. Mobil 1 since new. It's all stock & used for my work mule. 3rd clutch, 4 cam belts, 3rd set of struts, shocks & brakes, 1 new starter and 1new Alternator. But the valve cover has never been off, and doesn't leak either!

    I don't know where to post it.....but

Axle Swap They both have the same mounting tabs, so everything will bolt together...BUT the T-Bird has longer axle housing tubes and axle shafts. I can't remember the exact dimentions but the T-Bird axle is about 2 or 3 inches wider between wheel mounting flanges. I found this out after...

    IRCM Relay Box $?

IRCM Blues :( Most of the yards around here are filled with 2.3 cars too. It just seems that the first thing to go are the relay boxes and the DIS modules; Both of which I need! Thanks for the comeback.

    IRCM Relay Box $?

Anybody ever repaired one of those IRCM Relay control boxes for the fuel pump and fan relays? My pump relay is sticking and I have to smack the box sometimes to get it to start in the morning. Are there any parts you can get to in there, or is it all "Potted" in that rubbery stuff? Replacement...

    Sticking throwout bearings

It's all new stuff ! New front bearing retainer on the trans and a brand new throwout bearing that came with the clutch from ZOOM. I used just a small amount of teflon synth. grease on the inside hole of the throwout bearing. The inside of this one has a PLASTIC sleeve in it that rides on that...

    Sticking throwout bearings

I'm on my Third Clutch replacement now because of the wear I get on the trans. bearing support sleeve where the throwout bearing slides. The clutches and pressure plates are fine, just the bearing retainer sleeve wears out where the throwout bearing slides. It gets progressively stiffer and...
