Nothing at all? What about the cars on the H pipe? The smog pump feeds a diverter valve. The diverter valve using vacuum and solenoids diverts the air the smog pump puts out to either the cats (when you start the car cold) or to the exhaust air injection ports in the back of the heads.

Just bumping this post up again. Yes, Charlie was an excellent mechanic and changed the California 5.O scene durring his time. In the 90's, all the local mustang shops and tuners were decendents of him, or had something to do with him. Anyone still have any of those copies of MM&FF...

Yeah, Fresno is really in no-mans land for the automotive scene unless you're into street racing. If the track in Merced ever gets built, it may help change things for you.

Call Advanced Engine Development at 916-715-7569. You can often see their customer cars running at Sacramento Raceway if you get a chance to go out there. Go to the track and talk to people, see what they run and who worked on their ride.
