99-01 PI to PI Intake Manifold Swap Writeup

Just to answer my own question in case someone else runs into the same issue: It's a 13mm bolt for the bracket, and the best way to reach it is with a flex-head ratcheting wrench. A long-handle one would be preferable, but I was able to use a regular Gearwrench flex-head 13mm ratcheting wrench.

99-01 PI to PI Intake Manifold Swap Writeup

Any tips on replacing the heater return tube that runs from the heater core, along the firewall, and then to the rear of the water pump? In particular, I'm looking for the bolt size and best way to access it that's attached to the bracket. It's this part:

Rear Brake Caliper Issue 2002 GT

John MacDonald - Thanks again for the tip on how to replace the parking brake spring that goes in the rear caliper on the Mustang! I had to remove the spring because my caliper bolt was rounding off and I had to hammer a 12mm 6 pt socket on it to remove. I fought with it for a while with...

best shocks and struts for ride quality

How old are your tires? I bought my '92 GT last year and it had some Goodyear Eagles on it. The tread was getting low and they had a few small cracks in the rubber, so I decided to replace them with Yoko AVS ES-100s. The ride difference is night and day! So, if your tires are old, you might...

People with a Steeda Tri - Ax come in.

Bottom left here, too... One thing I'll mention is to make sure you do a good job trimming the black rubber on the boot. I didn't and the shifter was fighting against the rubber, making the shifter feel really stiff. Did some trimming work the other weekend and it works great! HTH - DJ

    Exhaust install difficulty?

Any helpful hints? I'll soon be doing the same on my '92 GT and was wondering if you had any advice from your experience... In addition, how do you have any drone in your GT? I've seen a ton of MagnaFlow posts, but most of them have been with pipes, so I'm curious how you like it w/the...

    STEEDA TRI-AX Shifter good?????????

Icepick - I installed mine w/o the rubber boot. The instructions said that if it was too loud, you could re-install the rubber boot on it, but you'll have to trim the boot... HTH - DJ

    STEEDA TRI-AX Shifter good?????????

I also love my Steeda Tri-Ax, I just installed it a few weekends ago (before the super-cold weather hit). It shifts great, and offers two height adjustments; one for more comfort and the other for even shorter shifts... Install was easy, the only pain was the (aforementioned) two 8mm bolts...

    radar detectors??? who useing emmmm?

I've had a Passport 8500 for about 3 years now and still love it. It has a ton of features, and a mute button so you can ignore the alarms you already know about. Remember, the cost of a ticket isn't just the ticket amount, it's the insurance hike that you'll likely get times three years...

What is the Best Mod you have ever done?

I only have a Green Filter and Steeda Tri-Ax, and the Steeda short shifter rocks! A well made piece, shifts are now firm, and the 2-3 shift is amazing. It's something you have to experience to believe. Definitely a lot of bang-for-the-buck! DJ
