does anyone know the spec's on these heads, valve size, cam specs, flow rate or a a site where I can check out some good pics,I'm just curious and having problems locating specs, as good as these cars run the heads have to be awesome.
the racing didn't get started till about 2 p.m. but it was worth it. And it got freakin cold in the evening, man those turbo cars love cold weather, John Hubers car ran a 10.30 TURBO4, and flanders ran 10.50 on his alky 2.3 turbo and both those guys spun real bad out of the hole.from open comp...
Who's all heading there this weekend, I'm on my way after this post. I'll be there with my Grey SVO in about 30 minutes and through out the weekend, the rain is moving it's way out now so hopefully will be racing by noon. :nice:
this weekend I'm replacing my valve stem seals and changing cams, what I need to know is what type of spring compressor works well on our 2.3's this is my first time tearing into the head and I don't want to be prying and yanking to remove the cam followers there's has to be a tool of some sort...
here's good start for auto crossing from cheapest to the most expensive
1. polyurethene bushings through out the car
2. Stiffen up that chassis, sub-frames, strut tower brace, g-load brace
you would be very suprised just what these would do in your times

Last night I was out with my SVO and pulled into the gas station to fill up on petrol and popped the hood to check the oil "have a little issue with valve stem seals" A kid about 17 or so walks up with a couple of his buddy's and tells me how nice my car was, I said thanks and stuff like that...
ok I see what your saying, but still see the other side on how it is written,i figured the thread is the difference between 2.3 and 5.0 rads not fans, not engines, and that is how I read it.I wasn't trying flame on anyone.I just wanted to know why?
why isn't a 2.3 fan not recommened for 5.0 rad, news to me, I've been running a motorsport 3 row like that for a couple of years now without a problem. runs nice and cooler than it did before.
you have yourself a bad conveter my friend. My 91 Bronco acted the same way 2 months ago I also did what you did. The very first thing I thought it was the TFI module, replaced my old glowing cat with a new one problem solved.
I like timken bearings, there quality is bar none one of the best, That's all I purchase at work for my equipement, Autozone does sell them, just make sure you pack your bearings real good.
everyday the weather is different, "humidity" and temperature all plays a role when you shoot paint. the air pressure when you paint.when I painted my 87 LX, man that was a long time ago 8 years. I painted the body first and the next day I painted the hood, hatch and both doors and it was chrome...
I know this post is for redfire but I thought I could answer this for you in case he's not around for some reason. yes you can paint you parts and have them still match up as long as paint them at the same time. set saw horses out lay all all your parts paint one part at a time and when you...
20W-50 I like heavier oil for protection, but I've have also been told running heavier oil can hurt performance which I don't know if I believe that or not.
your motor has nothing to do with what speedo gear you need. your running stock gears w/T5, I believe you need a 21 tooth gear for a manual tranny which is factory, if you go to a lower gear you will need a different speedo gear to correct the speedo and also remember tire size also effects the...
