    thanks for all the input just had the head laying around my just swap cam and followers . just FYI a guy at work did swap his 2.3 head for a 2.5 head couple acces holes not there and thermastat bolts diff . says made diff the 2.5 has smaller comb cambers and smaller intake runners.

    has anyone tried with success using a dual plug head on an non dual plug car . talking to a freind said i should be able use just plugs on ex side like norm. just screw plugs in other side to seal them. any ideas or coments

    Changing belts

    i use a long 0 offset wrench or just pull the belt on. easier when working on front drive car when theres no room up front of motor

    Fan Problem

    the engine has to pretty hot before fan comes on. unplug ECT and see lf fan comes on. if it does may have bad ECT sensor.

    91 head is dual plug ,but cam and followers can be swapped. someone correct me if i'm wrong

    there is a company that makes cast alum. itakes for a clevor motor. they have single and dual plane intakes for 8.2 & 9.5 deck height blocks even make a 2-barrel version for sportsman circletrack think they have an iron version kinda pricey starts at about 350.00 for alum.and up for iron

    Ok lets talk mileage . who is getting it ?

    my 90 gets a consist 29 mpg with 3.27 gears and a 5-speed the last set of motorcraft sparkplugs went 115,000 miles and wern't platnum my 86 GT has 240,000 on stock replacement plugs most of my driving is hiway 75 to 85 mph with the gear that in it turns about 2700 rpm at 80mph.

    reverse light problem

    the switch is probably stuck assuming it is a 5-speed ,put a bulb in it and unplug switch on tranny. it's on the drivers side of the tranny it pulls off if lights go off it's a bad switch it just screws out. some fluid may leak if you remove the switch.

    need to check fuel press reg. my 90 model with 215k gets 29mpg with 3.27 & a gears 5-speed. check press with a manual gauge at test port should be about 30psi at idle remove vacuum should go up 5psi or so

    engine knock

    how many miles are on it ,does only do it idle , poss. could be cam and follower are kwon to go bad since there not roller where are you from. mine make a noise only at idle and has been for about 50k miles hasn't broken yet

    when i did the raer on friends car i loosened the front bolts where lower control arms should be attach to body. took shocks loose check for wires being to short like the ABS sensors. take back bolts out where quad shocks normally bolt while supported with jack and lower the whole rear...
