Even if it doesn't fill the entire groove up and down I don't see it being a problem as long as it fills it side to side. When you buy a new Harmonic Balancer they usually come with a new key, if that helps.

I just pulled all of the same crap off. My timing cover has the same notch. It's supposed to be there, not sure why though. I just put a little extra Permatex there, haven't had any leaks.

Plug the PCV when doing a smog delete? For what? The PCV and the smog pump are two different systems. You can delete your smog pump and keep your PCV system.

They are updating the Twisted Wedge heads by the way. The new ones are coming out next week. They put stiffer springs on them to handle higher lift, and they are going to be $1145.95 from Summit.

Decided to upgrade the stock cooling system. Been having a little trouble lately with my temp and it's either the thermostat (1 month old Mr Gasket 180*), the radiator (14 yo stocker), the clutch fan (1 year old Autozone part), an air pocket in the engine, or I have a blown head gasket...

Fan clutch is 6 months old. New belt. I'm going to retard the timing a degree and add 1 PSI of fuel pressure. I heard a slight ping this morning.

I have a weird cooling problem. I can let me car idle for hours and it will stay real cool. I can drive around city street and in traffic and it stays below or at half. As soon as I get on the interstate and cruise at a reasonable constant speed, it goes up to 3/4's. Isn't this backwards...

The VIN shows it as an LX for the 93 and older years. Not sure about the 94 and up. I pay the same insurance as I would if it were an LX. I might get screwed if it ever gets stolen though. I've been meaning to ask the Ins. company, but I don't want the insurance to go up either. :shrug:

If you car runs hot with a 180 then there is another problem in your cooling system somewhere. Or your in an extremely hot climate.
