    18" wheels on 65 66 fastback

So an additional data point. I ran 255 40 17 and 245 40 17 for years on my 65. I needed to buy tires and I bought 245 40 17 and 235 40 17 because they were the only size available in the brand/tread I wanted at the time. I haven't even put 500 miles on them I am already tire shopping. The...

    Wheels-Tires '66 17x8 Rubbing

It looks good. I would start simple....did you get it aligned and what specs did they use? Incorrect alignment specs are often the underlying issue in poor fitment when you are trying to maxomize the rubber. You should have -.5 to -1 camber. They will say "but it will wear the inside of the...

    Steering Wheel Not Straight

Well if the alignment is true, and you are sure of it. Just unbolt it and bolt it back on. Otherwise take it to an alignment shop and tell them "check the alignment and make sure the wheel is centered when you are done" and then come back in a couple hours ;) Personally, I would have an...

Christiana Muscle cars has some good guys there and they treated me quite nice for the crappy arse little project I dropped on them (plumbing fuel line and changing a tank sender) because I didn't feel like taking a gas bath ;)

Wheel Setup for TCI Front Clip

This has all the details to answer....plus a chart to convert offset to backspacing. https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html Short answer....those wheels would require adapters for them to work if your rear and front are all stock track width

Wheel Setup for TCI Front Clip

Yes they are saying that if you run a 17+ diameter wheel you can use 4.75 inch backspacing on the rim when it is 8 inches wide.

    Fix tire rub

Funny....cause it (bat) worked for me....it is admittidly HARD to do in the rear because the metal is double thick. I have since purchase a proper fender rolling tool however.

    Fix tire rub

Yes, yes they do. Have you rolled your lip? Do you consider that an option?

    Fix tire rub

I have MB wheels on my 68 and they cleared the kelsey hayes style front calipers and the SSBC rear disc conversion calipers. Take the spacer out from the rear and you won't rub the fender anymore.

    Fix tire rub

Did you put the spacer in the front and the back? 235 45 17 should fit right on.....perhaps the springs are a bit soft and you are getting more downward and side to side movement than you should.

    Wheel offset on a 66?

You need to answer is the modyfied front clip changed you track width in the front from stock spacing. Without that information no tire chart in the world can help.

    351 Windsor

Where did the 420hp come from? So which is it 600 or 420? Or did he add a NOS shot, a K&N, and just add all the numbers up ;) Maybe I don't know how to drive, I've never made my 65 mustang light up the rear tires in 3rd at highway speed unless I was on ice...and I have 400 at the rear tire...

    Magnaflow 2.5" system drones!

Drone? What drone? I don't hear no stinking drone 1968 gt 350 clone - YouTube In all seriousness....it is uber quiet compared to my 65 with 3 inch pipes and flowmasters. I would: 1. Change my cruise speed and/or gear 4th vrs 5th if it is that bad 2. Change my rear ratio to...
