What is the weight of a 05+ Mustang after...

Is there any reference as to the weight of components within the 05+ Mustang out there? I'm trying to get a baseline idea of a completely stripped stang as far as removing the engine, exhaust system, radiator, and gas tank, but still retaining the tranny and suspension parts. Any ideas?

Anyone offer engine swap packages for 05/06 Mustang?

I know there are many builders out there willing and able to do engine swaps. My question lies with whether there is anyone out there who has actually created 'packages' for 05/06 engine swaps, or engine/suspension package upgrades that are installed for specific price ranges? This would be...

    AC not cooling that well

Amen buddah! I'm originally from Denver, and personally, Phoenix is definitely not my cup of tea. Plan on moving to California sometime next year.

    AC not cooling that well

I live in Phoenix, so that problem was a major issue for me. Nothing actually wrong with the A/C, just to damn friggin hot here (I believe its 108 degrees out right now!) Anyway, what I did was go to Home Depot, and went to their plumbing section. You'll find foam pipe insulation there. Grab...

    315/35R20 Rear Tire

I agree, what's NASA? Not THE NASA? One small step for man and all that :D Anyway, one doesn't buy 20" wheels for weight savings :rlaugh: Although for 20's, the weight is pretty decent. Most I've seen are somewhere in the 35-40 range. :notnice: You should go with 14" maganesiums...

What tires provide the best grip?

My friend, I live in Phoenix. We haven't had measurable rain in the area for almost 200 days. I don't think it'll be an issue. :D :D :D Mickey it be! :nice:

    315/35R20 Rear Tire

I've seen a couple of Saleen's around the Phoenix area. I'm gonna say that rubbing is not an issue simply because Saleen is not going to put out a product that creates a problem such as that, its just bad business. But that's not to say that I'm positive, they might do some body work to...

What tires provide the best grip?

Price is not an issue. Yes, I'd prefer a tire I can drive by to work everyday, but on the weekends tear up the track, without needing to change those same tires. So, so far I've hear Nittos, Mickey Thompson, and BF Goodwrench. Three seperate selections from three separate people. Anybody...

What tires provide the best grip?

With all the various brands out there (plus all the marketing to go with it) its tough for your average joe to understand what should be considered when choosing a good tire. Tire size aside, what are some factors to look for? Myself, I'm looking for a DOT rated tire with the best sticky...

    e85 85% ethanol fuel

You make a good arguement. The current Hybrid price range for passenger cars is $19-54,000 (54 being a Lexus 450GH), with SUV hybrids hovering in the $27-$46,000 (again a Lexus being the top end). Compression ratios range from 9.5:1 to 12:1, so you could say some would require 91 Octane fuel...

    e85 85% ethanol fuel

Speaking of Toyota, there is a movement in the works at TMC to derive a performance hybrid sometime around 2009-2010 (maybe a follow up to the Supra), whereby you'll get a vehicle with 360-380hp with gas milage hovering around 28-30 miles per gallon! They have been able to derive a concept...

    What wheel size suits you?

Based on the votes it looks as though 18's are the popular choice, with 20's coming in second. 19's would give you the best compromise of both with better ride quality, less weight, yet still fitting the wheel well without having to drop the springs any. I'm still sticking with my vote for...

    e85 85% ethanol fuel

What about a propane injection system? You'll get the same milage and octane levels, plus not need to pay as much, just like ethanol. Its also easier to come by at various gas stations. I'd love to do this myself, but am not familiar with anyone outside of Canada that actually done it...

    Sound Deadener

Currently I do not have a Mustang, my car is a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS. My system is made up of four 6" mid range speakers, two tweeters, and a boom tube setup. I pump out 800 watts total and was thinking of upgrading to more power, but decided on sound deadener due to its cheaper cost. I...
