    Hey guys

Hey Paul, yea I have a link in my sig to my craigslist page. I didn't wanna put it in earlier to avoid harassment from the mods, lol. :D My religious headquarters are in New York, I've put in my application to go work there (one of the reps that I was talking to back in august said I was pretty...

    Hey guys

Well I sold the mustang...... :( Kinda hate to see it go, but I need something more practical these days. Having a hot rod mustang and a hot rod bike just isn't cutting it. Fortunately I put the motor back to stock, so I've got a ton of parts to sell (extra cash! :D ). Anyway, just thought...

    something is wrong

WTF is a Co2 sensor? I agree though, pull the codes. Even if the CEL isn't on, that doesn't mean that you aren't setting DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes).

    No compression

Grady, things are good! I've been super busy working 60 hour weeks and messing with the stang and bike. Hopefully I'll be back on here some more now. Hey JT! Long time no talk! Yea the critters can feel a little safer now, lol. You got that exactly right about the bike making the stang feel...

Is there a way to check and tighten the header bolts without taking anything off?

I put new header bolts on when I did my heads/cam last summer so they must be different sizes cus mine are 7/16". No matter. If you're gonna use a ratchet you're gonna need a 1/4" drive, a 3/8" drive will not fit on there. Either way, an open end wrench works just as well most of the time, and I...

Whats wrong with my oil pressure?

I think your sending unit or your gauge is jacked. I don't pay attention to my stock gauges anymore.............. not even the speedometer. :D

    UC's and LC's???????

Grady's right. I installed uppers and lowers at the same time, and I went with the spherical bushings. Talk about NOISY SONS OF GUNS! I thought my wheels were about to fall off. I've gotten used to it now. As for the performance, the straight line traction isn't that much better, but the tail...

    No compression

Hey Paul, I've been lurking, but being so busy working all the time and most of the time I'm on the bike these days the mustang has gotten little attention. I'll let you know if I can make it in Aug. :nice: UPDATE: Threw my new t-stat housing on and she fired up first try, even idled like a...

    No compression

UPDATE: I timed the cam wrong. Tore the timing cover off tonight and retimed it, ran a quick compression test and came up with a LOT better results! Put everything back together and was about to fire it when I noticed the t-stat housing leaking. Pulled the bolts and it broke in half!! Darnit...

    No compression

Brad, yea I worked out most of the bugs. It ran great for a long time, but I just got tired of it and the poor gas mileage. :) I figured I'd put it back to stock and save the money for a while and either sell it or supercharge it, lol.

    No compression

Matt, I threw the stock pushrods back in. That would suck if I used the TFS'!! Can you say bent valves, lol. Chris, I'm gonna put it to stock and hang on to it, as long as it doesn't give me problems I'll keep it and maybe use the money from the parts to supercharge it. :D

    No compression

Just swapped my stock heads/cam in this weekend. I got spark, fuel, and air. But I have no compression on more than one cylinder on each head. Can somebody list me some possible reasons that come along with head/cam swap where I wouldn't have any compression (brain is fried, been working 19...

Cranks and cranks but no fire

UPDATE: I hooked up some jumper cables this morning from my dad's truck and it fired right up. So I brought it down to work, I'm gonna mess with it this afternoon. Scott, I'll let you know what I find when I have some time to mess with it. JT, it must have something to do with the weak...

    Oil Pressure gauge question

IIRC the stock oil pressure guage is more like a switch, and as long as you have something like 5psi of oil pressure (it was ridiculously low) then it "activated". That's what I've heard, and I have no reasons to believe otherwise since I have NEVER seen mine move at all. It's actually...

Cranks and cranks but no fire

I've been having issues lately with the stang cranking FOREVER before it fires, if it fires at all. It cranks real fast, but it just takes a long time to fire. I have good fuel pressure, but have not checked spark. My battery has been pretty weak lately, and I was wondering if maybe the weak...

funny ricer story to brighten your Saturday

I was on the Gixxer last night and I stopped to fuel up. 5 ricers were parked there, and after I finished they all started pushing the one at the pump next to me. I walked over and gave them a hand pushing. It ends up the dude had ran out of gas, then coasted up to the pump on the wrong side...

funny ricer story to brighten your Saturday

Probably in case it blew up on him. I ran a 16 once, but I was on the brakes to keep from breaking out.

    fuel pressure setting???

39psi with the vacuum hose is off. Might wanna verify that it drops to 31 or so when you hook it back up, and also that it jumps to 39 when you open the throttle.

    Stabbing dizzy???

Chris what all have you done to it over the winter? Until last night, I hadn't talked to you in a while, and I've been gone from SN for a long time too.
