Wtf is wrong with this combo?

According to CompCams spec that cam should pull to 6500 rpm. Something goes wrong above 5500, afr or maybe floating valves? Do the springs match to the cam? I would also think a cam that size need a minimum of 9,5-10:1 in static compression to work correct. Trickflow says those heads make...

    65 Mustang Rearend Upgrade

The Fordmuscle project car vent high 11s on a stock 8" (4.11) with a blown 331" and T5. At that level the splines on the stock axles began to twist and they opgraded to aftermarket 28" splines axles. But I think they said that with the 525rwhp from the 331" they could hear the 8" was crying for...

Integrated power steering isuzu pitman arm

I don't see the pitman arm as a part who will see high force action in the steering/suspension. Only maybe if you crash the car and the front wheels takes som big hits. But if you look around you will find race and track cars with modified and welded spindles running with out problems. :) My...

Integrated power steering isuzu pitman arm

My steering box is similar to the one used on a Cadilllac Catera. My pitman arm was made by just cutting the round splined end of the Mustang arm and then weld the similar part from the other arm on it. The finnished arm look just like a stock Mustang pitman arm. If welded correct and using...

Integrated power steering isuzu pitman arm

My car has a pitman arm made of 2 halfs welded together. It was welded 5 years ago by a guy with experience in special welding. He sad is was no problem to weld it and making it strong. It's steel and not iron, this makes a big difference. :)

    Scott Drake "quality"

The parts you can buy today don't have to be the same quality as the ones sold 20 years ago even from the same brand. I think manufacturing as cheap as possible has been the main focus for all in any business in the last years. Every day they look at ways to cut down production cost even more...

    integral power steering box

Earlier there was some power steering kits on Ebay which I believe was based on a older Toyota box. The Borgeson looks VERY similar to an 90's Isuzu steering box, with the mounting eyes cut off and a new mounting plate welded on instead.

    Early Style 289 Timing Cover

I dont see what difference that hole, open or closed, would do? Inside the timing cover at the cam chain, you can see down into the oil pan. I remember that even my '88 5.0 block have an open hole in the casting, between the cam chain and the lifter valley. Dont all sbf blocks have that hole?

    Early Style 289 Timing Cover

I believe the very early Mustang engines had the oil filler tube in the timing cover and not in the valve covers. Don't know if it's that type duo_z looking for?

    Billet Flywheels

I'm running one of the Ebay flywheels together with a King Cobra Clutch for 2 years now, no problems at all. :nice: For the 200$ less it was okey for me that I had to make my own dowel pins (to the pressure plate) because the threads where not metric like the stock Ford. I don't care much...

Why are the gas tanks offset to one side?

Maybe vi have to look at the original Mustang....the early Falcons! They were all 6cyl with single exhaust! The engineers was not thinking that dual exhaust would be an option later, but moved the tank away from the hot exhaust pipe. Maybe that's the reason? :)
