I don't use gaskets!! Just the good copper RTV!! When you do take the headers back off you have to pry them!! lol. My brother and I have both done it this way for years no leaks.

I have a manual rack and i like it. Its nothing like shutting the car off! Don't go by that. While driving it just feels tighter. In parking lots its harder to steer.

I'm going with a 408 stroker. Big numbers and don't want to go thru the fuel injection thing again. Injectors, intake, AEM, etc. Just simpler and cheaper to go carb.

I have a different typr of puller. Mine kinda screws into the bearing and then u pump grease into it. The grease goes behind the bearing and forces it out. Its to late for that now but I suggest to all stangers to use the one like I have. If you haven't scaared it up to bad you might be able to...

I love my flaming river. They do steer way better thatn I thought they would. And it really cleans it up under the hood.

all these are good ideas, but with high miles I would try cleaning the throttle body!!! Just take some carb cleaner on a rag and clean around where the plate hit the sides of the throttle body. If you look up into the body and open the throttle I'm sure you'll see the black crap. Just an idea.

245/45/17 I think, and I also removed my A/C and smog so my belt wont help you. My brother has a shop and stocks about every serp belt there is so I have a little advantage.

You can use your bell housing. You will need a different shifter (pro 5.0). Drive shaft will work. When I say you need a diff shifter you don't really need one but I highly recomend it!! The tremec will come with the shifter already on you just need the handle and yours will work.

I know it sucks to be on a budget, but I would not skimp on this one. I wouldn't go buy some cheapo. The better you get them smoother the engine.
