Shelby museum - anyone been there?

It is worth the trip! I used to live about 40 minutes away from there until I moved out to Cali. It is located just outside Boulder in a metal warehouse type building. You wouldn't think it would house anything important until you walk in the front door. It is a great display and worth the time.

Thinking about selling the the Stang. How much do yall think its worth?

Tough to hear I am sure but it looks like a $4k-5K car to me. That is assuming that it isn't too rusty.

    windows are evil

I don't know where you live but almost everywhere in the country has a Mustang recycler. Just call around to different shops to get prices. I know of a few in Colorado and one in Southern Cal.

    What should I do with this 64 1/2 D-code?

I would also agree to wait and restore it properly. It will be a bear finding the correct headlight buckets and hood but as an ex owner of a 64.5 D code, I would keep it relatively stock or a mild restomod.

    8" Rear End

I don't know how close Morgan Hill is to Pomona but there is a vendor there that sells 8 and 9 inch center sections with a limited slip or locker with all different gear ratios for about $200 less. Best part is that you don't have to wait, they have a ton that are already built and you just pay...

    Front bumper attachment

My car has never had the hold downs on the fenders and it doesn't rattle. Go for it!

Any of you fellows interested in a 4.6 DOHC donor car?

Probably needs new air struts. I got the later model ones for my 94 Mark and have no problems since. Pretty fast for a 3800 pound monster!

Heads and cam upgrade on 289 ?

I am satisfied with the power my car puts out for a street car and it is pretty mild. Check out my website for details.

    edelbrock 454 rims

I don't know how close you are but there is a big swap meet in Pomona a handful of times a year and there are normally that kind of things there. Last one I went to there was a set of 4 17" 454 rims with a Ford bolt pattern for $550. I thought that was a steel but I didn't have the money to...

    66 c4 to aod

I wouldn't even think twice about putting the C4 back in there. The AOD will give better acceleration from gearing, and better fuel economy. I can't wait until I get one in my car!

    Boyd Custom Air Cleaner

I am thinking there is a good reason nobody has seen that intake setup before. It is butt-ugly! Probably is less efficient than a regular open element filter assembly also.

Walked out to the stang and noticed...

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but there is a salvage yard by my parents house in Colorado that sold be a very nice used tinted windshield for my 64.5 for $40 and a brand new tinted one for my 66 for $80. I installed both myself but I enjoyed it. Everything but that crappy bedding...

    Head gaskets installed wrong?

I would say living in Arizona is part of the problem. Try a fan shroud and a larger radiator.

If you had $10,000 to spend on your 66 what would you do?

I would build a mild 5.0 HO and convert it to EFI, AOD tranny, new pumpkin with a Detriot Locker and 3.55 gears, air conditioning and a power booster for my brakes. The left over cash I would use to do work on my '57 Tbird! :D

    feeler:65 coupe

If the suspension has been rebuilt I would put it in the $10,000 range. It is really hard to tell value of cars in pictures because cars always looks shinier, straighter, and cleaner in pictures. Assuming it looks as it is in the pictures I think that $10,000 is a fair price.

    67 Dash install

The repro dash pads are normally made overseas and the foam that forms them gets sprayed onto the part that tucks under the trim. If that is the case use a straight razor blade to clean off the foam from the lip on the dashpad and try to install again. That is the only thing that I have run...

    T5 conversion advice, please

I don't know if maybe this is your problem but the mount isn't horizontically symmetrical. The holes are a little cockeyed to one side. Also, don't tighten anything up until it is all together.

    EVERYBODY please post your pics...

Mine is the same color as Cloney's: Ford Performance white. In the pic the car is a little dirty too. It is REALLY bright!

Proud owner of a new mustang!

As a proud owner of a ricer and a classic Mustang, I know you will enjoy the power of the Mustang much more!!! After you do some suspension mods you can get them to handle as well as that little Civic too!
