well found out the reason for the black smoke... MAP snsor vaccum hose was frayed. Fixed it. Now my Throttle postion sensor is reading 1.21...how do i adjust that?

i found out what that part was...i called a ford dealer--it is the relay for the a/c (which i plan on taking out anyway) now if i could just figure out the fuel mixture... a friend mentioned O2 sensors ??? any ideas? thanks

well i got the code scanner and wow...stuff looks nasty and are these codes right? I got the Actron code scanner but i saw online a slightly different set fo codes for mustang... :shrug: KOEO i got 23 (throttle postion signal out of range) and 82 (thermactor air circuit, integrated controller...

do any of the major parts stores carry the code scanners/guages in stock?

K, thanks sub...replaced the fuel filter, oil, oil filter when i got the car. Will do the rest and see what happens
