A long way to go:

I have a Lincoln c6 with the long tail and V mount. Is there a way to use this setup with the stock trans mount (moved or tweaked) or do I need to find a short tail section. Its a 93 Mustang, 460, and 8.8. Thanks, Eric

CJ, thanks that does help. What about things like drive-shaft, full length headers, clutch cables, forks, flywheel count etc? Looking for the whole enchilada of info or someone who has actually done the swap.

I'm going to swap a 460 into my 93 Mustang and I'm trying to figure out what trans to use. The engine is going to be mild, nothing crazy. First off the car is going to be a weekend cruiser and part time auto-x car. As far as the auto-x goes its just for fun and I'm not looking to be...

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Do you have part numbers for your manual conversion? I too cant do the auto trans, its too boring, that's why up until I saw your thread I stayed away from thinking about doing the 460 swap. Now I'm all excited!!

The more pics the better, you have me thinking about doing this swap when you mentioned the manual transmission.

How much do you figure this swap would cost aside from the trans itself? Now my gears are turning :D

I don't even look at any of the mags at the supermarket anymore and haven't bought one in about 2 years. The best mags are from the early to late 90's,, good thing I kept them all.

Cool, thanks. I have no idea if the 96 Cobra rack is any different than the 96 GT but its cheap so I'll go pick it up.

I'm going to run a 94-95 K member/spindles on my 93 notch. I can get a 96 Cobra rack for dirt cheap. Will this bolt right up? I know I will need a new coupler for the steering shaft. Thanks ***Edit*** The answer is yes.
