I checked the timing and it seemed fine it was right on @10 degrees. I checked that right away because when you first go to give it gas it would sputter then kick down?? :shrug:

I am interested in doing a 2.3 Turbo swap(I have a '89 NA), but I need to learn about some of the wiring(pins), and vaccum lines and "what not" before I even think about getting started. I looked at Stinger's site, TurborFord, and other threads here and realized I need to learn a little more...

hey guys I need to drop the gas tank on my 89 2.3 lx and I can't seem to find any gas tank straps. I was woundering if any one knew where I can get them. Any info would be great. The sooner the better I start school next week.

Hey I just picked up a 89 Lx and it did the same thing (my tach would go the wrong way). I had to go to a junkyard and get a new instrument cluster and put it in. If you end up doing the same thing look around at a couple diffrent junkyards the prices really vary. Hope you find the problem. Good...
