A good friend of mine recently lost his Lightning in an accident, but we have been getting the crazy idea to drop his engine and blower in my 1999 Cobra Convertible :rolleyes: :D I have seen one at a car show, and know it is possible, as the 2000 R has a 5.4 liter, but does anyone know...

yes, but it in't something you want to do all the time, (I only use a buffer on a oxidized paint job) - or one that is badly swirled/ scuffed) the DA style buffers leave swirls if you are not careful

3M Imperial Hand Glaze, I buy the quart size for $17. as the 8oz bottle will be over $10. then you have enough... if you have a buffer (orbital preferrably) buzz over the whole truck (panel at a time) and it ill remove ALOT of the fine scratches, swirls, oxidation, and bring a shine back...

wet it with the hose (becareful while doing this-alterntor etc) any de-greaser, or even Westleys bleach white, get in the small areas with a toothbrush but re-spray the degreaser as you go along, and I say westleys bleach white because it won't di-color the hoses etc. when you are ready...

a very fine horse hair brush from a local arts and crafts store :nice: and of course a VERY steady hand :rolleyes:

personally I would go with the cloth :shrug: if I re-do mine, it will be cloth, lookd better too, and they seem to hold up to the weather longer :D

Do you ever hang out at Halls Restaurant? I stop up there here and there :p I haven't been out there working as often, but maybe I will run into you one of these days :shrug: I am usully in the R or the Explorer (my explorer is burgundy with the beige -Eddie Bauer) we take this when...
