I have a 00, and as far as the carpet thing goes, i had the same problem. but its nothinga little shoe glue, and 5 min. wont fix. and the leather seats ARE leather, and need to be treated like a nice leather jacket, just moisturize, and treat them, and they will last longer than cloth seats.

I think the 05 is cool in its own right, but it took me a while to warm up to it. The one thing it lacks is the Mustang, "kick ass attitude", look!
