    it sounds like the new cam has to much lift for the studs to handle. maybe machine the heads for screw down studs, or look into some lightly used heads that already have that feature.

    Brakes SN95 Cobra brake swap - Too much pedal effort

    is the booster providing any assistance? try pressing on the brakes, then start the car, and see if the pedal goes down any. if not, then it might be the booster, or a hose going to it.

    I put in a total control manual rack, and it's a little tough in parking lot situations, but on the open road it's fine. I only have 225 size front tires, and a small block, so that makes it easier. I haven't driven an original manual steer in a long time, so I can't say exactly how much it...

    completely de-grease it, then start the engine. the highest point the you see oil is where it's leaking.

    why waste money cleaning up old heads, which still won't be very good, when you can buy some good heads that give you room to grow into them. If you buy these, you'll still probably end up buying better ones eventually anyways...

    I like the ceramic coatings, but I would recommend ordering your headers plain, install, and see what hits what. once you have the steering and bellhousing cleared, then send the headers in to be coated. I paid for ceramic headers, had to cut and reweld one pipe, then pay to recoat one header...

    if you do you better cover it with something non-conductive. a short with that much amperage will cause a fire....

    the article states that the camero soaks up the bumps better because of the IRS and the magnetic shocks. The camero's shocks are impressive, but I also thinks the mustang might have done better if they had adjusted the shock from setting 5 to setting 4(or even 3), since it sounded like a bumpy...

    could also be a leaking exhaust manifold (I know that sounds odd, but it's true). It would not cost anything to tighten up the exhaust bolts....

    thoughts on this retro roller cam

    Good cam choice. trick flow offers porting for those heads. you might want to upgrade the valve springs, and the 3.89 gears might be too much with the amount of torque you'll be making.

    Clean out the filter in the carb. some have them. exhaust leak would not cause this.

    I think the manifold is a good choice for a stroker. you have an extra 57 cubes you need to feed, and with 3.89's in the back, low end torque shouldn't be a consideration. I think traction will be a bigger problem than low rpm manners....
