    Front Brakes "sticking"

Found the problem courtesy of ECI Hot Rod brakes in Connecticut. I used their "under-the-floor" Master Cylinder and Brake Pedal set up on my 1940 Ford Tudor Sedan Streetrod. I gave them a call asking for their advice. After checking for some pedal "slop" to be sure the Master Cylinder wasn't...

    Front Brakes "sticking"

I replaced the brake hoses with brand new stainless braided hoses when I installed the new calipers. I also replaced the rear hose with a stainless unit. I may just remove the OEM Proportioning Valve (FoMoCo calls it a Pressure Metering Valve) and plumb in a new, adjustable brake bias valve...

    Front Brakes "sticking"

I replaced the front wheel bearings and seals with new ones when I did the calipers. It is definitely not bearing related, it's in the front brake hydraulics, like a sticking residual valve or other related issue. Are the residual valves built into the Master Cylinder or the Proportioning Valves?

    Front Brakes "sticking"

I am refurbishing a 1985 Mustang GT that was used in the SCCA American Sedan class from 1990-95. It is a gutted, "climb in the window" race car. I've not raced it in the Vintage events yet. I have used it for about 400 miles on the street (cruise nights). It has NJ Collector Car inspection and...

    One Wire Alternator (conversion)

Can anyone tell me what wires I have to connect to convert a stock '88 Mustang internally regulated alternator to a one-wire alternator? I am using it in a 1985 Mustang GT SCCA American Sedan Class road course racer that I am "restoring" for club meets at northeast road courses. The car had...

    Need throttle cable bracket

I'm sure this is not the first post of this subject. I switched my '88 GT back to carb. I located an NOS throttle cable (E5ZZ9A758A) from Green's Obsolete Ford Parts. Howver, I cannot locate the bracket that anchors the throttle cable to the engine (E3ZZ9728A). I'VE TRIED EVERYWHERE I KNOW OF...

    Accelerator Cable

I just finished installing a new motor/trans in my '88 Mustang GT. I am not using it on the street as a regular driver and intend to use it as a FFR Cobra donor in a year or two. I converted it from EFI to carburetor. The EFI accelerator cable is too long for my carburetor. Does anyone know...

    Tremec/Hurst shifter handle

Tremec/Hurst shifter stick I just installed a brand new, out of the box Tremec TKO 500 in my '88 Mustang GT. It came with a Hurst shifter installed, but no stick or knob was included. When I tried to use the stick from the T-5 that I removed, it will not fit. I tried everything, but unless it...
