    Hydrocarbons.....

smog Hi Mike, Well the thing is you can mess with the timing but it still has to be with in a certain spec. I think its 8' BTDC on yours. Also don't go to lean or you will cause a lean misfire that will raise your HC levels. Your best bet is to take it to a tuner...you might have hard to...

    Holley experts please!!!! ?

Well that might not be enough due to your choke being disconnected. You will have to push the fast idle cam down while opening the throttle. If its a man. choke just push the lever foreward. Check for vacuum leaks, you may have one. try stuffing a rag over the carb bores, if you have no vacuum...

    Hydrocarbons.....

smog Hi Mike, Well HC is a product of a misfire, basicaly unburnt gas. Check your plugs and wires, make sure the plugs aren't fuel fouled. Make sure the engine runs smooth with no misfire. If your engine has sat for a long time change the oil and give it a good long highway test drive...

Shock mount mod for '65-'66 cars with Koni's

What ever you lower the car by would determine the height of the space required. The spacer or extended shock mount provides additional shock travel lost during the lowering process. Very nice alternative to the spacers, Very stock looking. Now to make coil over mounts that look stock...

    EFI conversion help!!!

Efi You might want to do some homework on EFI systems before you tackle this swap. This will save you lot of $$ in the long run. Return EFI uses a fuel rail mounted regulator the returned unused fuel to the tank.Your stock line would be a good line to use as a return then just add a new line...

What is wrong with my Speed Demon Carb?

carb I agree, your just having tuning issues. Im assuming that this its first run? Alot of people assume that since a carb is new it will go on and run perfect out of the box. Might be true sometimes (if your lucky) but lots can happen in shipping. I've run carbs with 9 PSI with out issues but...

    Question about the resistor wire.

ignition wire Hey great, well your right, the voltage drop is due to coil saturation usage. Ohms law states it takes 1 amp to push 1 volt through 1 ohm of resistance. So that length of wire takes a 5 volt drop just due to resistance in the wire. When you check it with your volt meter...

    Removing smog equipment on 1966

Thats correct CA equipment was an air pump, but more common on 3-4 speed cars. Do your pipes go into the back of the head? Some blocks are threaded so a pipe plug will do...1/4" NPT i think?? If you have non threaded holes you can make a plate and block it off. But don't forget the gaskets...
