Better check your lower cowl panel. That's usually the cause of the whole problem. Patch all you want. If the cowl is rotted you will only be prolonging the issue.

Just keep in mind that quality was on the back burner in the 60's,70's and 80's. A NOS brand new Ford ford fender stamped back in the day still won' t have the fit and finish of todays parts. That attitude combined with high fuel consumption is what opened the doors for imports.:notnice:

you better make sure the guy blasting knows what he's doing. Exterior panels are prone to warpage if they are blasted to long or with the wrong media. Most high end builders either chemically strip or mechanically strip the exterior and just blast the structural metal. That's what I'm doing. Kirk
