    Intake to Hood Clearance

    I have the Typhoon Intake on my 95GT and the intake DOES touch the factory hood. It still closes but the factory black cloth under the hood has put a black stain on my typhoon intake. Let me put it this way, I have a Cobra R hood in my garage waiting to be put on right away. Hope this helps.

    Everything was done on the same day. I got her dynoed before anything was done (196rwhp) then I got the mods put on then it was strapped down to the dyno agian(215rwhp).

    I guess I can put my .02 in now since everybody else is. I put underdrive pullies and a CAI on my 95GT. Dyno before and after. 196rwhp (before) and 215rwhp (after) Now I don't know where the 19hp came from but I am willing to bet that I didn't get 19 additional hp from JUST my pullies. But...

    Definately do a test. Like wy said, "good to know what is going on." It will hold up, though. Keep the fluids changed with the synthetic at least every other oil change and run 93 octane regardless of what other people may say, IMO.

    It all depends on how warn down your block is. I have 130,000 on my stock bottem end with plenty of mods on top. I have NO problems. You said you use up 1 qt every 3 thousand miles. You make the call. These blocks last a long time. I recommend driving it until it blows up, then replace it...

    Exhaust Terminology?

    "Dumps, you can see there is an "L" shaped pipe clamped (my new setup is welded) onto the end of the muffler, that directs the exhaust down to the ground." Why do dumps make it more loud? Are they "illegal?" Or should I say, would they pass inspection? I don't like my pipes sticking out...

    First time at track .Help.

    Don't expect too much. If you don't already have "track" experience then go ahead and get some passes in to get the feel of it. Look around at other GTs and see what type of setups they have and see what helps them out for traction, etc...

    $1500, what do I buy next?

    What about shocks and struts? Everybody says, "adjustable." If I NEVER take my car to the track, do I need adjustables or wil non-adjustables work just as fine with my daily driver?

    New 95GT on board!

    The car already has a cam. I bought the car with the cam already on it. Stock intake, though. After I got the Dyno the guy said the same thing, "really good #'s" considering the applications.
