A 302 can rev to the moon like the mod motors, it just takes money. On hardcore50 there's guys that shift at 8500+.

Try cleaning the connections at the battery and at the starter. I've had the same problem and it was dirty/loose connections.

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. I know even an OEM fender wouldn't be bolt on and go, but I'd rather not spend a whole weekend trying to fit a damn fender.

If you went with aluminum heads, that would counteract some of the weight. I don't think the weight would be as big of an issue. If you are fabricating engine mounts, you would be able to experiment with engine setback, which would help the distribution. How much does a 460 weigh over a 302...

Pull your front sway bar, raise tire pressure in the front and lower it in the rear, pull your passenger seat, bump timing, and DRAG RADIALS (not free, but a damn good thing to have :nice:)
