    will this tranny work

You need an LB3 ECU. Your trans will work fine as it is a 3 wire 2 solenoid trans. Bhuff did the early A4LD wire up.

    2.3 header

Just bolting on the header - no further mods? - about 2 hp.... In order to make it worthwhile you may want to couple that with a low restriction cat, freer flowing muffler, mandrel bent exhaust - you could make 10 hp...

1987 Mustang 2.3 upgrade to turbo

FWIW - your stock crank and rods will do. They are the same as what is on my TC block. Going with forged pistons is a smart move. What is going to hold you back on pushing anything over 10 lbs of boost is the compression ratio with the stock head. N/A's are 9.1:1 or thereabouts whilst the Turbo...

    COLD RUNNING ENGINE!?!?!?!?

100% with you on that point. Stock guage is useless. I went with an aftermarket guage - found out that the stock guage was 40 degrees off!!

    EGR question....

Greets, I am about to do the turbo swap as I have a 87 TC for a donor. I read the how to on stingers site and I am concerned about the following... Quote: From the VAM wiring harness from the Turbocoupe: Connect the VRef (orange/white) to the wire going to pin 26 of the stock harness...

    Using different turbo...

Yes, a stock T3 is good, but I have ample access to IHI's and a TD04 from a Daytona - dirt cheap. The key thing here is that the a4ld will not handle major power - say over 160 hp is a recipe for failure...

87TC pedal cluster - can it be used?

Yes, I saw that. That is going to be my next burning question. Were you able to use the set up? Ideally I'd like to swap the engine and transmission as a whole.

87TC pedal cluster - can it be used?

Got a wicked deal on a donor 87 TC for $400 cdn. It has a good T5 that I want to use. The burning question is - can I use the pedal cluster in my fox? Also... The TC is in actually solid shape, good rims, tires are ok, exhaust is good. Paint is oxidized, but can be buffed back with high...

    Using different turbo...

I used to have a Chrysler Daytona Turbo - boost was on tap from 2000 rpm up - stock. So I'm looking for the same performance on this 2.3. I don't need extreme amounts of boost, 2-3 psi at that rpm - wilst 9-10 lbs when around 4000-4500. I really don't need extreme amounts of HP. Nice to know I...
