    I dont know about eating rust...that would be something i would like to learn about. But there is epoxy primer, you can just sand off all the surface rust with some sand paper or a wire wheel and paint it over the surface and it seals the rust from oxidation so it goes into like hybernation...

    i took some 3" channel (steel) and welded two pieces under there. May be a little heavier, but damn if its not stiff. Cost me $0, we have so much spare steel laying around its not even funny.

    yea, he's trying to decide if he just wants to cut his loses and stick the heads he already has on the engine or just save up some more and buy some aluminum heads. But would the heads he already has sustain that hp level? Or does he just need to save up?

He has a set of older (68) 302 heads that are nicely ported, bowl ported, 2.02, 1.60 exhaust valves in them and wants to know if he had a little more work done on them...

    Typhoon intake questions?

    i got one just because my buddy had it for cheap. I matched the upper to the lower and the lower to the heads and smoothed some of the rougher places out, i felt a differece for sure. But i had ported heads, F cam and headers at the time to...dont know about completly stock though.
