There is a knocking sound coming from my 00gt engine. I tried the short out each coil method and found that the front left (from drivers seat) made more noise when shorted. Its a pretty noticable knocking sound as soon as the engine starts, with higher rpms it goes faster. Does this sound like a rod bearing or other catastrophic problem? What else can I do to check and see what it is? Any suggestions for solid replacement motor for a decent price? Rebuild? Once I can afford it I want to throw in a HP turbo so getting a motor that can handle a beating is a must.
