One wire Alternator and working Volt meter

I'm going to install my PowerMaster, one wire alternator and need to know how to hook it up so that my volt meter continues to work.

Can you take a picture of the terminals on the alternator ? I've setup a Ford 1 wire and I got mine to keep functioning. You just need to lead 2 wires into the old voltage regulator connector. I don't know what terminals yer alternator has on it but I'm sure they all have the same outputs somewhere.

Not sure about tyhe voltmeter but if you want the Amp meter to work the large Lugged wire on the starter solenoid has to be still hooked up. That is the way it is on 69 but maybe not on yours.

If it's a one wire alternator the hookup is very basic:

I used a 150 Amp fuse in the circuit to protect it in case a diode in the Alternator shorts out.

You can also see where I folded back the original 10 gauge wire and just taped 'em up.

Oh yea, If the voltmeter worked with your old alternator, You shouldn't have to do anything with the new one.

how big was the arc when you hooked that positive wire to ground?

I added that to protect the 6 gauge feed to the fuse box I have. I made my own harness.
