hey guys im sorta new to the forums as well as the supercharger scene and i need some help! i have a 98 cobra with a vortech v1. the blower was makin a slight grinding noise so we figured maybe the bearings were starting to go bad or worse, so i had it sent out to vortech in california for them to run through it and see what they think needs to be done. i just got a call from them saying that the bearings were shot, the gear case needed to be replaced, and the gears were pretty well trashed. apparently the bearings were so loose he said they slid right out and didnt even require any heat. They told me it would be around $1000 to repair, or i could just upgrade the head unit to a v2 si-trim for $1200. Is this upgrade well worth the extra $200 or is there a different upgrade i should be doing instead of the v2 si trim? if it matters, the motor has stock internals and is running at 12 psi. Just wanted to see what everyone recomends before i make a decision. thanks guys,
zach
