So hey guys im new to this site just wanna ask some questions i have a 90 foxbody i wanna list what all i have done to it so i can get a idea of how much horsepower im runing..

1.bbk shorty headers
2.f303 cam
3.gt40 upper & lower intake
4.cold air intake
5.73mm c&l maf
6.msd coil
7.msd cap
8.underdrive pulleys
9.shorty shifter
10.3.73 gears
11.worked e7 heads
12.stage 3 clutch
13.65mm throttle body
14.rebuilt motor

i believe that is all so what do you guys think on horsepower????

250 maybe? The E7's are probably your limiting factor here, regardless of them being worked. They don't have enough material, to be made capable of flowing a lot, since you'll get into a water jacket if you port them too much.

Because GT40 heads outflow ported E7's by probably 40-50 CFM. Though I doubt any iron, or aluminum GT40's are flowing enough for 300. Maybe at the flywheel, unless they're ported, too.

Several guys making 300rwhp on iron GT40's, but your right, heads are ported, well matched and thought out combos. The best ported E7's probably only marginally out flow gt40 irons. You can sink a lot of money in GT40's though, alot of times enough to buy a set of used aluminum heads.

To the OP, the estimates given are probably about right for your horsepower numbers.

I'm not as optimistic as the other guys. Here's how I see it:

190-200 rwhp stock
+ 1.bbk shorty headers = 200-210
+ 2.f303 cam = 205-220
+ 3.gt40 upper & lower intake = 215-235
+ 4.cold air intake = 220-240
+ 5.73mm c&l maf = 225-245
+ 6.msd coil = -
+ 7.msd cap = -
+ 8.underdrive pulleys = 235-255
+ 9.shorty shifter = -
+ 10.3.73 gears = -
+ 11.worked e7 heads = (without details, this is meaningless... My biggest questions would be what size are the valves, and how much compression, unless you have actual flow charts for the heads)
+ 12.stage 3 clutch = -
+ 13.65mm throttle body = 240-260
+ 14.rebuilt motor = -

So there you have it, 240-260 rwhp. Honestly, I would lean towards the low end unless the worked heads are a real performance improvement. Oh yeah, and 110mph in the 1/4 is bull. It's possible to do with those heads, but not unless you're sandbagging and know a hell of a lot more than you're letting on. Where is that number coming from, a G-tech pro or something the previous owner told you? If that's a spec stage 3 clutch, it's serious over kill on your combo. Someone probably wouldn't put a clutch like that on your car unless they were running a decent shot of nitrous, or were planning to do a lot more to the car in the future.

not sandbagging everything i told you guys is what i know is done to the car the other owner could have done more work to it that i dont know of o and i dont bull:poo: any1 ok thats what i have run before....o and im looking at some gt40 heads on craigslist for 175.00 is that a good deal or no????

GT40's are good, better than your E7's. However I'd look into a better set like Aluminums, shaves 40 pounds off the nose plus they will outflow GT40's. AFR 165's or TFS 170's are great heads and you should be able to hit the 110MPH mark now. Ive see great deals out there on GT40x aluminums too. I'd say your car is under 270HP currently.

90mustangfoxbody...110 in the quarter? What tires do you have on there? What are you launching at and where are you shifting? And what is your actual quarter time? How much does the car weigh? These are all important details IMO...not just the list of mods. Oh, and is the car tuned or chipped? And what size injectors are you using? Are they matched to the MAF?

I am going with what this post says as far as numbers. One of my buddies had a similar setup minus the msd junk, but with a pro m mass air, 24# injectors, and trick flow track heat upper and lower intake. F cam, ported E7s, same exhaust setup, CAI, pulleys, TB...He dyno'd at 247 rwhp.

You want 300 rwhp, get some good aluminum heads and supporting mods for it. This info is readily available on this forum if you do some searching. I picked up some TFS twisted wedge 170's used for 700. They were completely redone and gone through. Just had to bolt them on. There are good deals out there.

Depending on the quality of the port job on your E7s, you could have anything between 250-270rwhp. To hit the 1/4 mile trap at 110mph, you'd need to be at the top end of that HP range and have a vehicle weight with driver of only 3000lb.

Where the hell did you find a deal like that?!

I found a set of TEA stage 3 porting for around $800. The intake ports were so big I could put my head inside to check the valves. A buddy of mine had it on his 94GT. Luckily he added a Vortech S-Trim which really made those heads shine.

There are deals out there. Gt40x heads were expensive back in the day, I know because I bought a set. The. You realize for the same price AFR 165's and TFs 170's out flow them for the same price. You can find GT40x heads for a song now days because people are upgrading.
