It seems I am.
When It was a drag car project, I used to think fast was never fast enough.
Now it seems, that the car can always stand one more doo-dad or cool factor addition. It never ends. I'm like a crack whore.

Anybody else?

It seems I am... but my problem is I seem to be able to plan mods several years in advance of the actual fund's arrival.

I need to stand out in front of walmart holding a coffee can with a pony on it...

Pan handling is for small thinkers.

I think you need to get a water balloon put into a custom made pocket of a pair of pants. Walk into the Walmart and rupture the balloon in the middle of the aisle. Once there is a significant water hazard, "slip" on the unmopped puddle of un-marked water.

The proceeds from the lawsuit will buy you a living mechanic to put the junk on your car faster than the addiction can demand:cool:

'Merica. F yeah.

I have five cars, not counting my wife's 67 and her DD. You know whats on my mind? Mods for my new GT, the two lifts I want, the extra garage I want to build, and the three cars I plan to buy to fill aforementioned garage that doesn't exist yet.

hah! At least you folks get to drive/work on yours now! I bought my 92 GT back on 31 Aug and only got to drive it 25 miles before I had to get on a plane back to afghanistan. When I get home next month (stationed in Fairbanks, AK- Car is in Dallas), I still wont be able to even touch it till 1 June!! Long distance relationships are hard (men/women and their love of Mustangs!)

That's what I'm talkin' about. I no sooner get done w/ one thing, and there is another already simmering on a back burner. Those damn Webers are talking to me all the time, and I don't need them. They'll cost close to 2 grand, be a pain in the ass to fabricate the intake for, a challenge to get sync'd and balanced not to mention expensive and intimidating to tune.

The little white guy of reason pops up on one shoulder and tells me to leave it alone, and to not "fix what ain't broken".
But more often than not, the little red guy of impulse and irresponsibility pops up, kicks reason in the nuts,

then bitc h slaps him off my shoulder.

Run away from Webers. RUN I SAY!!!!
I,.......Cant. Every time I think I've gotten away,.....THEY DRAG ME BACK IN!

They are the multiple carb winner of my what do I do next challenge. I've looked at, and listened to you tube drive bys, researched the potential power gains just from a carb change (BIG), and have already had my pants modified to accomodate the extra bulk from an erection "that lasts longer than 4 hours" as a result of having them.

I guess there's something I'm missing about them then other than aesthetics. Every thing I've ever read about them, and everything I've ever heard first hand from owners tells me their performance is inferior to large fourbarrels and tuning them sucks ass. I talked for an hour with a man who owned an AC Cobra with a side oiler and webers and he said the car just ran better with a four barrel(s), but he kept the webers because they were correct...

That is contrary to conventional wisdom. I, (like you) have always heard that they are hard to calibrate and finicky to keep tuned. But,....They are the most widely used performance carburetor in the world, and have had a place on just about every exotic engine coming out of Europe for over 50 years.(well at least before F/I has been adopted) Not to mention all of the Fords raced through out the mid-late 60's. A single carb has always just been easier, and for some, a 10-15 % increase in power isn't worth the expense and hassle (330 weber'd vs 300 holly'd). But they still sit at the top of the heap for the ultimate carbureted induction system. For me, if I can put those carbs on the motor and pick up 30 HP, than all the better, I'm doing it for all of the reasons.
The beneift is equivalent to MPI over TB injection. You can "hear" a Weber carbureted engine VS a plenum carb'd engine due to the short runner distance. (You end up hearing cam overlap way more) Throttle response is best described as the difference in the pronunciation of WHAP! vs WHAWHAP! AND, there is "the look".
It's just one more thing I wanna learn to do. The only way I'm going to be able to do that is to own them.
