no... not even close to a good time. should be mid 12's easy.

btw just because you drive it every day doesnt mean you know how to drive it. ive put less then 3000 miles on mine in 3 years and i'll STILL out drive you

fwiw a guy i work went is running high 12's in a bolt on coupe with a full weight car.
drive my car how it is now. if you can get a better time then me you can have my car. wont happen buddy. not trying to be a dick but i wont have someone talk :poo: on my driving that doesnt know how i drive.

im telling you... if you went 14.25 on slicks 4.10's and a exploder top end it can be 1 of 2 things...
A you cant drive
B there is something wrong with the car.
you better be racing on the top of mout evrest for this to add up. that or your using a Gtech on the street.

what was the 60' on the pass?
DA?
weight?
1/8 mile ET and MPH?
1/4 mph?
which track did you run at?

You should probably slow down and consider the company you're in here.

And just for clarification, it's not a slam on your driving skill --OR-- the possible lack thereof. It's a general observation for ANYONE with a limited amount of track time. The only reali similarity between street and track driving is that the steering wheel, shifter, gas, clutch, and brake pedals, are in the same location that they were in the last time you drove to Walmart.

If you believe that you have no room for track driving improvements then you may as well not ever mod anything because adding more power will likely make your times progressively worse.

I'm wondering what you're running for maf and TB. I saw HEADS and EXPLODER intake and nothing else... not even a mention of a shifter. You shouldn't be running down the strip with any more than 5 gal of gas in the tank either. Did you disconnect the front sway bar before you lined up? Has your battery been moved? Spare tire?

I may be wrong but it sounds like you just popped your cherry down at the race track so 12.25 with none of the, "tricks" to me.... isn't bad at all.
ya. i forgot to mention the sway bar was removed. i put it back cuz in my opinion it didnt hook up any better and it was kind of scary driving on the freeway. also sorry i said i had slicks but they are 26 inch tall mcreary drag radials on stock rims with 225/60/15s in the front. im pretty sure if i had skinnys in the front and maybe a shorter rear tire it should have ran 13s. thanks for the reply. but no i didnt pop my cherry. also all lose ballast are out.(spare tire ect). battery is in factory location. im not trying to be consistant. at least not now. im just trying to put down a proud number with a daily driven budget build.

please do not post anything about my driving skills. if my skills are not up to par that is my own problem. im just asking about my cars performance. not mine.

I usually disconnect mine for track day but have never completely removed it. I have my battery in it's factory location but borrowed an ultra-light track battery the last couple of times I went. The skinnies should help. A set of 90/10 adjustables for the front would help a lot too. Anything you can do to get weight transfer will help your 60 foot times.

I would think something is wrong with the car...My 87 GT Convertible with speed density stock long block...just bolts ons, headers, off road H-pipe,flowmaster cat back,70mm TB which does nothing on a stock intake...smog delete An AOD with 3.55's oh car weighs 3780 lbs with me in it..I went 14.4@94 mph with a 2.0 60ft on street tires...1st run out it was pinging so bad i turned timing back set it by ear i had no timing light that day..i ran consistant 14.4's So yes i think its either the car or a little of yoru driving..sorry...

Guys guys guys.... His driving has nothing to do with it. He's willing to put his car on it! Btw I cleared a nice spot in my drive way for it!
