Dave is it just me or are they cutting corners protecting the interior as well as the engine? I would expect to see the interior and engine masked off and taped!!! Even while welding there should be something covering the interior to prevent sparks burning holes in the carpet, seats, and dash. Every picture i've seen shows that nothing is being protected. :fuss:

@mikestang63 am I wrong about this? Are you not concerned?

Edit: Correction, I saw a blanket over the windshield opening but there is a huge gap for either overspray, metal debris while grinding, or welding sparks.

Mike and I already talked about this. I’ll let you talk to him.

They are also going to reinforce the area around the hinges and are double plating the areas where they cut out the front top portion of the frame. Almost ready to install the windshield, , prime the cowl and then paint.

and so you know.... they cover up the windshield opening with blankets and also lay them on the top whenever I've seen them work on the car, as well as covering up the car with my car cover when not working on the car.

Our weather gets weird up here this time of year. It snowed 6" here yesterday...and will be 70 degrees on Wed.

Of course, car doesn't come out for a drive until all the salt is washed away off the road. Takes a few good springtime rainstorms in late March early April to do that
