You'll be re notching the ends for your install.....

yeah it looks like the side bars may have to be messed with a little . but hey for 109 bucks cant beat it. my cousin had this cage in his and it fit good and looked good after install so that why i went with it. and i have a dahm t top car so if i dont go 11.99 or better at least the car will have no more flex.lol

where can i find a good price on cage with out the driver side doors? What are the track time regulations for cages, like when do you need a certain cage?

i know here in new york i need a 8 point if i run 11.99 or better. you can always buy a 8 or 6 point and not weld the side door bars in.

6 or 8 points are roll bars and are need by NHRA rules at 11.99 and 11.49 for IHRA..

10 point or more is a cage (helo/front bras) and is need in NHRA at 9.99

These times all differ for verts...

I had the S&W in mine and it worked out pretty good for the price.. I just cut it out this weekend going with a custom chrome moly cage in place of the 6 point s&w..

the s&w are thick they use .134 wall tubing which is thicker then the .119 NHRA mandate..

on th website they say there are 2 styles for my application one which goes through the dash and one that doesnt, im assuming that the one in the link which was provided does not go through the dash but id much appreciate it if someone could clarify, i dont think id like to butcher my dash if i didnt have to

10PT cage PT#11-3566TD 79-93 Mustang - through dash

The cage that goes in front of the dash is pretty intrusive into the drivers compartment and makes things even harder down the road. It is best if your car needs the cage 9.99 or faster for hatches and notches to go through the dash. You loose your front speakers and usually the heater core.

CSG-As far as fit with the arm rest you can make the bar miss the arm rest of have the bar bent in that spot to further miss it. The rear seat although possible to get in is really not very accessible or easy unless you are a thin and flexible. Nothing like banging your head or back on the cross bar, or your teeth if the driver hits the brakes hard.

I installed a S&W 8 pt in my coup about 3 months ago. Nice price and ok fit but wish I just went custom fit by a professional like Perky is doing. Chro moly is the way to go. I also installed a Wild Rides 6 pt in my hatch. I know down the road I will want to get it certified and I'm not sure my welds will pass.
