What information in particular?

I have read about many people’s experience adding Saleen kits to their Stang. Often, they report needing to do a lot of prep work on the body pieces before they are ready to paint. Also, make sure the paint shop you choose is experienced painting urethane parts. The paint needs flex additive added in order for it to adhere well to the urethane.

Good luck with your plan.

i just had a saleen kit installed

I just had my Saleen kit installed about a week ago. The body shop that did it for me said that it did require alot of prepping before paint. The Saleen parts are pretty much raw and in bad condition. It takes $$$ to get it looking right. My body shop in particular had problems with the back bumper, they couldnt get it to fit right for two days. It still is on wrong, I scrape the ground when I drive. They are fixing that tomorrow though. The kit looks awesome though and I would recommend buying it over any other kit. It just looks the best. I have paid 2800.00 just to buy the kit and get it painted/installed.

Not to discourage you but.... if you are even contemplating installing the kit yourself.... be prepared for a possible nightmare! my brother installed his own and although it came out decent.... it was a PITA!! they definitely do not slip right on in the slightest bit.

I've heard that Cervini's Saleen copy kit for Fox bodied Mustangs are better quality and better fitting that the real Saleen kits. Anyone know about this for sure?

We just hung new (factory Saleen) sides and front on my '85 earlier this year, and there was not anything that was too dificult about it.

Work was done mostly by my friend who is also a Saleen owner, and he didn't complain too much.

I would get the OE Saleen parts for a real Saleen.
