Not as good as the E7TE that came on 87 or later 5.0 stangs. The combustion chamber volume is larger than the E7 heads and will drop your compression ratio.

yeh unless those heads are ported you got ripped for $699.

if they are ported then its a decent deal.

if the heads are ported good maybe 260 to the wheels, if the heads arent ported then you'll be lucky to see 240 to the wheels.

ah d08, d06, e7 there all the same stock crappers......

those heads are from something that was made in 78, i have a set of them too in my garage with adjustable rockers. they don't have the thermactor bumps so that's good but more cc's is bad. but that can all easily be fixed.

D8O = 1978 Torino.

Those very heads were on my '83 GT's block originally. '78 was the first year for pedestal mount rockers arms. The heads originally had Thermactor injection port 'bumps'.

D8 heads were cast in the millions and used in everything, including 351w's in the early '80's and are worthless for performance. You got ripped my friend. Tiny ports, big chambers, not even a good emmisions head, and that's what they were designed as. They were fords redesign to lessen the cost of valvetrain components. Stamped bolt down rockers vs cast with studs etc. you can port them to flow about the same as stock P heads, maybe up to GT-40 stockers if you are carefull, but that's still playing in the shallow end of the pool.
