when at idle or low rpm's my car vibrates a lot, it does this like 90 percent of the time and my car feels really sluggish at all rpms. and the car idles around 600 rpm. could it be a head gasket or vacuum leak or what?

Check your balancer, the rubber sometimes seperates. this will cause a shake.

And alot more if you don't fix it right away! Look at the balancer while the car is running to see if it 'wobbles' or crawl under the car(with the engine off) and try to turn the outer ring by hand. That's what happened to mine, I could spin the outer ring by hand:notnice:

It's quite common on our cars.

This same thing happend to me. Would shake to high hell in idle. and then level out when driving. It got progressivly worse till I figured out it was the harmonic balancer. Thing was completely out of whack. Happends more often from hard launches I think.

yeah they suck, I just replaced mine after 118,000 miles on it. Im suprised it lasted that long but Ive got a new Romac on there now so its all good :nice:. Mine dident break yet but I replaced it as preventative maintence
