I was looking at the JMC kit and thinking this may be what I'd like to go with. I found a guy local that will build me a fresh T5 for $600 or T5z for $750 (complete tear down and re-assembly with new parts). Very nice guy with a tool and die maker background.

So I need to get on the trail for the remaining parts. The clutch mechanism being on top of the list. Anybody got opinions or links to write ups on this job?

thanks.

I'm happy with mine. Easy install, in spite of the lousy directions. TONS of clearance for headers, and reasonable pedal effort, even with the King Cobra clutch. :nice:

Only hiccup was the slave pushrod was too long and contacted the bellhousing at full travel. Easily fixed though.

I highly recomend the hydraulic kit if you think you have header or exhuast issues. The only pointers I can give you on installation is to make sure you do not install the clutch pedal to the assembly until after you bleed the lines. If there is any pressure on the clutch pedal when installed the fluid will not drain to the slave cylinder.
