I want to start dressing my engine up in some chrome and stuff and I thought that would be the perfect place to start. I was just wondering if I would actually feel a difference if I installed a cold air intake? Or if it would be a waste of cash?

I wasn't sure if I should start with that, then start to add other small stuff like headers, etc. or if I should just save for a supercharger and stuff.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is where should I start performance wise? How much will it cost? and whats the power gain?

Thanks to all.

Well, it seems that you have enough cash, so here are my suggestions. First, do drivetrain upgrades. Gears and T-Lok are a must. Aluminum driveshaft is a nice option, too (if you do have extra money). Then, do your suspension. Springs, Struts/Shocks, and for look and performance, Wheels and Tires, and for safety, a Bullit/Cobra Brake kit. After all this, which does cost a few grand, you'll have a nice car that is tuned for more power. So than you can either supercharge it, or have real engine work done. So, that's my little package. It might be a lot, say 7-8 grand installed (about 4-5 thousand if you can do it all yourself), but you do get a lot for it.
