I searched, but i guess i couldn't find the right word combo.

Anyway, what would it take to make the switch on the drivers door for the pass window work as 1-touch down? Kinda sucks when i get in the car and want both windows down to hold down one button and just tap the other. I just want to tap and go.

Also, what would it take to make the switch on the pass side 1-touch as well?

The 1 touch feature is operated by a control module attached to the inside of your driver side door panel. With a wiring diagram, making the pass window "1 touch" with the driver's side control would be possible. But "1 touch" on the pass door panel switch would be a huge project a certinly not worth the wiring involved.

Ok scratch that then. I would only consider it if it was easy, but i really just want the pass window button on my door.

So who knows how to do it? Where do i get the module for it?

Cut/Paste from one of my posts on another forum.
-----------------------------------------------------------

I installed the One Touch Down module from Pony Performance. It adds the one-touch down feature to the passenger side window, just like the driver side window. One quick press of the window switch and it will roll all the way down.

The module takes 15 minutes to install, or 30 if it's your first time and you're double and triple checking everything. Installation was really simple. Pry open the top part of the trim that holds the window switches, then pull the entire trip piece up. There's one clip near the rear end holding the trim piece in. Find the right colored wires and tap into them using the connectors provided. There were two or three wires to connect using crimp on connectors. There's one wire to cut and two crimp on barrel connectors are provided to make clean connections. One wire had to be grounded to the door. I attached the loop fastener (also provided) for the ground wire to an existing screw in the door. The only tools I needed were a flat blade screwdriver to pry the trim away from the door, a crosspoint screw driver to attach the ground wire, and a wire stripper/cutter. I also used a multimeter because I was paranoid and wanted to double check all my electrical connections. The control module itself does not have to be attached or bolted to anything. I just wrapped it in one of my spousal unit's socks to prevent any rattles, and lodged it between the door and the trim.

Once installed, I can click the either switch (driver's door or passenger's door) for the passenger side window and it will roll all the way down. Pressing the switch again while it is rolling will stop it.

The instructions cover both 99-04 and 94-98 installations. The kit costs $27 shipped. The website only takes Paypal, which I don't have so I mailed a personal check and received the kit in less than a week. The owner of the business is really good at responding to emails.

Overall, I say :nice: :nice:

So if i'm understanding this right, all three window switches will now have the 1-touch feature? Both switches on the drivers door AND the one on the passenger door?

Excellent. Time to make an order.

Yes.

1. Driver's door has 1 switch to control the driver's window.
2. Driver's door has 1 switch to control the passenger's window.
3. Passenger's door has 1 switch to control the passenger's window.

The mod gave me the one-touch down feature for switches 2 & 3.

This is a great idea! Now, I want one touch up too. :D

I don't know, but I would consider that a choking hazard. You know how kids like to play and hang out by the windows. They might accidentally press the switch while their heads are sticking out the window.

My spousal unit's BMW has one-touch up but the switches are all in the center console between the front seats, not at the doors. Plus, you have to hook your finger in and pull up to activate the one-touch up.

Either way, I'm happy with the one-touch down. You might email the guy and ask if he has a way to do that. Let us know what you find out.

Clifford SmartWindows II & SW IV modules do both one touch up and down at all switches. Furthermore, they can interface with any of their security systems to perform these functions remotely. I have two or three SWII modules with installation diagrams and new harnesses. $45 each shipped.

Kids??? WHat are those?? I'm 23 and single. I am the only kid that will ever be in the car. :)

But i just want the 1-touch down for all windows. I'll stick with normal up.
