Ahhhhhh - Help please

Apparantly I over tightened my MAF and now there is a crack running straight in front of one of the screws. Damn Plastic pieces of crap.

It was fine for like 2 weeks until this morning when i hear this awful screeching noise.

I know its basically my fault for over tightening it, but should i return my intake, TB and Plenum to stock and take it to ford and say that i dont know what happened?

How much is a new MAF

i like my metal MAF now

sorry to hear you cracked it. im sure you can upgrade or just get another stock one for a cheap price. all you need is the housing, not the sensor (which costs the most $$)

yah, the only thing is, Auto zone, Oreilly's and Ford didnt have just the housing, so thats sucks. I guess i'll be looking through the junk yard.

If i do upgrade to a larger MAF, which should i get? I've heard nothhing but trouble with new MAF on 99-04 Gts.

Well you could always do the following:
1. Call junkyards for a replacement - alot of junkyards are networked together so your chance of getting the part is greater.
2. Cheaper version: Goto plumbing store and buy a small tube of Harveys plumbing putty, follow directions. This idea will seal anything **** including water leaks/
