That fancy R Model hood they sell..

Don't bother getting one!

It took three months before it was even sent to my address

then another two weeks in transport

Even my body shop guy was peeved. The gel coat Niche used was full of small pin holes.

The hood had to be painted three times because of all the pin holes which just kept coming through.

Dave Simpson at Niche wanted me to send him pictures..

By that time the damn thing was already painted.

So the hood is actually painted and its time for the install. The damn thing is warped.

Had to shim a full inch on the passenger side, modify my hood latch and raise it three inches. The corners still stick up in the front despite the leading edge of the lip actually resting on my front facia.

What a screwed up hood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simpson is a crook, no matter what is said he seemingly has a reason for everything that supposedly went wrong with his hood.

My advice, if you see a Niche hood on ebay or anywhere else. Don't bother!!!!!!!

This is the R model hood in carbon fiber or fiberglass which features a cap underneath the hood which can be put in place under the slats of the R Model hood. This cap protects the engine from the elements.

A fine idea, but a crappy hood.

Stick with Cervini's or some other brand.

In all honesty, the hood is rigid as hell but totally bent out of shape.

I tried telling people on here and Corral that he was a schyster. He misrepresented himself to me and several of my vendors and still denies it.
I do notice that he no longer claims to be a Ford employee.

I've heard nothing but bad things about him & I got the run around from him about 1 1/2 years ago. I was trying to get some Kenny Brown stuff from him. He made it sound like he was with KB & had the parts. That wasn't the case & KB seemed pissed when I told them about it. Said he had no right telling people that.
