I don't think so because the IAC allows air to bypass the TB to control idle speed. So I think removing this silencer would allow slightly more air to enter the IAC valve during idle conditions. Mine seems to make some noise, kinda sounds like a hissing sound at idle comes and goes though what gives? DanTurbo92PGT said:IIRC thats a silencer for the air going to your IAC. No need to clean it or anything
