high temp and AC runoff

So I checked my Ohm on the sending unit and it reads .25 when my manual says it should read .74. Should I replace the sending unit? Thanx in advance.

just some useless info but my car gets cooler when I turn the AC on. It usually runs around the R then when the AC is on it stays between the N and O.

Yes..Your fan, which normally comes on in the 2-teen+ range, "should" automatically kick on when the A/C is running.

So i installed the new temp sending unit and it made no difference

at this point, i dont know about you, but i would get a real temp gauge and hook it up. otherwise you are trying to guess at which component is bad, based on temp readings, which may not be correct.

even if it is a 10 dollar parts store gauge, it will be better than the stocker. then you will have something concrete to go from. the stock gauges are hysteretic, which is not great for diagnostics like you are trying to do. cool?
