at this point, i dont know about you, but i would get a real temp gauge and hook it up. otherwise you are trying to guess at which component is bad, based on temp readings, which may not be correct.

even if it is a 10 dollar parts store gauge, it will be better than the stocker. then you will have something concrete to go from. the stock gauges are hysteretic, which is not great for diagnostics like you are trying to do. cool?
